The importance of sociology today

Why is sociology so important today? Because it explores the possibilities of balancing human freedom while maintaining the togetherness of the human society.

Imagine freedom as a living being who lives in our body. Like all beings, he wants to be and live. If his life is limited for a long time, he will begin to manifest himself in the form of various neuroses.

Austria has long been an example. Austria is a highly developed society. On the first look. But if we look closely, we will be struck by - why are there the various psychoanalytic schools – Sigmund Freud, Alfred Adler, Viktor Frankl? Austria is a country where social rules are very strong. Human here is very subservient to society. And this is just manifested for a long time in the pathological expresss of individuals...

The opposite is the Czech Republic. Everyone here does what they want. Individual freedom is, in my opinion, at a very high level here. Not on purpose. Somehow underhanded. We are in the middle of Europe, everyone wants to control this space. We have learned to protect our inner freedom. Repression does not apply to us in the long term. The last time this manifested itself during "epidemics" period.

What about sociology? It was the period of the "epidemic" that revealed that Austria did not help itself with its repressive, the result was there the same as in the Czech Republic...

So what to do about it? What about to have both? The freedom of human inside and at the same time the organization on the outside. To give space to the inner freedom of human, but at the same time to work out, let's say, a guide to the inner world. To give people information about what the inner world consists of. To help them navigate the space that is graspable by our inner senses.

And the outside world? Here it is appropriate to create a set of ethical rules for the coexistence of people. A valuable example is the second most widely read book in the world – the Tao te-ťing by Lao-c´. You will find both there. A description of the metaphysical world and a description of the physical world. In the Czech Republic, Charter 22 is moving in this direction.

Význam sociologie v dnešní době

Proč je sociologie v dnešní době tak důležitá? Protože zkoumá možnosti, jak mít v rovnováze svobodu člověka, a přitom udržet pospolitost lidského společenství.

Představte si svobodu jako živou bytost, která v náš žije. Tak jako všechny bytosti, i ona chce být a žít. Pokud se bude její život dlouhodobě omezovat, začne se projevovat v podobě různých neuróz.

Příkladem je dlouhodobě Rakousko. Rakousko je vysoce rozvinutá společnost. Na první pohled. Pokud se ale budeme dívat pozorně, zarazí nás - proč právě v Rakousku se tolik daří různým psychoanalytickým školám – Sigmund Freud, Alfréd Adler, Viktor Frankl…? Rakousko je zemí, kde jsou velmi silná společenská pravidla. Člověk se zde velmi podřizuje společnosti. A to se právě dlouhodobě projevuje v patologických projevech jednotlivců...

Opakem je Česko. Každý si zde dělá, co chce. Svoboda jednotlivce je zde, podle mě, na velmi vysoké úrovni. Ne cíleně. Jaksi pokoutně. Jsme uprostřed Evropy, každý chce tento prostor ovládat. Naučili jsme se chránit si svou vnitřní svobodu. Represe na nás dlouhodobě neplatí. Naposled se to projevilo při „epidemií“.

A co na to sociologie? Právě období „epidemie“ odhalilo, že si Rakousko svými represivními opatřeními nepomohlo, průběh byl stejný jako v Česku…

Takže co s tím? Co mít to i to? Svobodu člověka uvnitř a zároveň organizovanost navenek. Dát prostor vnitřní svobodě člověka, ale zároveň vypracovat řekněme tomu průvodce vnitřním světem. Dát lidem informace, z čeho se vnitřní svět skládá. Pomoci jim zorientovat se v prostoru, který je uchopitelnými našimi vnitřními smysli.

A vnější svět? Zde je vhodné vytvořit soubor etických pravidel soužití lidí. Cenným příkladem je druhá nejčtenější kniha světa - Tao te-ťing od Lao-c´. Naleznete v ní obojí - popis světa metafyzického i popis světa fyzického. V Česku jde tímto směrem Charta 22.
